We're Here to Help
Our family business has been repairing vehicles in Medford, and nearby surrounding areas for over 40 years. Don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.
The Insurance Process
- Estimate: A qualified appraiser will thoroughly inspect your vehicle and account for the repairs that your vehicle may need. After this, a copy of the estimate is given to you. You have to get in touch with your insurance company with the estimate and DGC Autobody & Mechanical Center will negotiate with the insurance provider on procedures and prices needed to fix your vehicle.
- Disassembly: The damaged areas of the vehicle are disassembled. Hidden damages and structural flaws are often additionally found and noted. To fix these additional damages, our office needs to request a supplement. The insurance company is contacted for visual inspection and approval. This can take multiple days, all repairs require approval.
- Parts: Our relationship with manufacturers, dealerships, and vendors help us obtain the correct parts in a timely manner. Although, back orders on certain makes or models is a possibility and you will be notified if this situation arises.
- Part verification: Once parts arrive, they're double-checked to see if they are what we have ordered. A technican will check the parts and matches it to your vehicle.
- Body Repair: Restoration of the damaged exterior panels start. Dents and scratches, metal finishing, sheet metal alignments, etc. are dealt with. Accurate body work is performed following all necessary procedures and guidelines.
- Painting: The vehicle is sent to the preparation area. Where primer is applied, multiple steps of sanding is done, and masking is completed. The vehicle then enters the spray booth where to the refinish tehnican will finalize. Using smart scale technology, color matching can be done to get the right finish. Our heated spraybooth allows us to lay down an excellent finish, and get faster drying results.
- Reassembly: After the painting is completed, individual parts are reassembled with moldings and accessories being placed back on the vehicle. All the systems are tested and analyzed for performance, followed by the final inspection conducted to check for quality.
